ck1liang Posted May 22, 2008 Posted May 22, 2008 Hi to all, I really need some help here. I have just installed osCommerce on my web hosting server (Shared host using Windows Server 2003 IIS with php and mySQL Support) Even though I have just installed with a fresh osCommerce engine, I am unable to send out any emails using the email default functions. I have search and tried most of the method as stated in the Internet but still unable to receive any emails at all (The page stated that email have been send out but no mail have been receive at the other end.) I have called up my hosting company and they said their email server information can use "localhost". Below is my configuration of email option in the admin page: E-Mail Transport Method: smtp E-Mail Linefeeds: CRLF Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails: true Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS: false Send E-Mails: true Links of configuration that I have tried to solve my problem: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=302649 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=301551 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=89278 Hope anyone here can help to solve this problem as I need to get this eshop up and going as soon as possible. Thanks a lot in advance.
jonellie51 Posted June 3, 2008 Posted June 3, 2008 Hi there - I had this problem with a hosting package from Easyspace Their answer after nearly a month was I do apologise for the long delay for this issue. I have checked your OScommerce software and found that the script required the 'register_global' to be 'on' in order to run the script properly. But this has been disabled on our Windows server platform. I would recommend to switch the hosting to Linux this can be done with in 48-72 hours. Once the site has been moved to Linux the .htaccess file in your script will be working properly. However, you will need to re-install the software again after the move. Please confirm via this ticket if you wish me to process the change for you. It may be the same problem with your hosting package. regards Jonellie51
