abilstein
Have installed PayPal IPN 0.96 with new checkout. It doesn't seem to be fully working for us, I don't know why. Orders can be placed and processed, however, OSC doesn't seem to recognize it fully. After going through PayPal and even hitting Continue, a confirmation email is sent to the customer, but not to us. Also, the order does not show up in the admin IPN orders. It shows up in the regular orders section, but lists it as "PayPal Processing", even though it actually went through (shouldn't it say "received"?). Finally, the shopping cart is not emptied when returning to the OSC side. Any help? Quote ...Alex
abilstein
I take that back, I don't believe the customers are getting confirmation emails. The paypalipn_txn table is empty, but the paypalipn_temp_data is getting filled. Something is not triggering the success in paypal_notify, any ideas? Guest
Hi Alex Whats your shop address? Best regards
abilstein
Pablo, http://www.atariage.com/store_test/ That is the testing store with the IPN module. Please note that during checkout it will only say "PayPal" as I changed the text for that, but it is indeed PayPal IPN. Our live store (/store/) has the default PP module. Guest
Ok Can you give it a try? I just set off cURL... sometimes cURL can give you problems :?
abilstein
No luck. :( Still no emails, no IPN Transaction records, shopping cart is still full, etc. :?: Quote ...Alex
abilstein
If it's any help, I was getting a Payment Failed indication before. I edited checkout success as you indicated in this post: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...+payment+failed That fixed the Payment Failed problem, but I"m still not getting the rest of it like the other poster at the end of that thread. abilstein
Hey, looks like it might be working now. If you fixed something, thank you. :) I'm going to go test some more, but I see orders in the IPN Transactions now, which I have never seen before. :P Quote ...Alex
Guest
Hey great! It seems it was the problem with cURL... Thats the only thing I touched... It also seems like PayPal is having some kind of delays posting the IPNs... the transactions gets recorded many minutes after you make the payment... It should be INSTANT! Well, its working now... tell me if you see any other problem! Best regards
abilstein
Thank you very much for your help. Must have been the cURL plus a delay. :) Quote ...Alex
wizardsandwars
Hey Pablo, I too am experiencing IPN delays lately, just to let you know. Looks like this may be an issue on PayPals side. Guest
It is the new PayPal DPN service!!! (Delayed Payment Notification)
vikkic
With Paypal IPN, the orders are captured in the cart, I recieve the notification from Paypal that I've recieved the cash. I proceed to the admin and print out the packing slip - no problem. I can't see the transactions in the admin paypal ipn module but as I've been able to have the orders in the admin and know I'm getting paid, it hasn't been any problem. The problem only arises now because I installed the gift voucher module - because the orders aren't captured in the Paypal IPN admin section, it doesn't let a gift voucher show up in the Gift Voucher admin section either... Of course I'm able to send the gift voucher manually through the admin section but I can't release it through that same section. I know it's Paypal cause it only has happened with the Paypal orders. Can you tell me how to fix this - cURL? I need the transactions to show in the Paypal IPN section. Vikki
abilstein
For me, it was a simple matter of setting the 'Use cURL' option to 'false'. It's in the admin > modules > payment > PayPal IPN. Quote ...Alex
vikkic
I set it to true cause it said it was detected in my system, but I've now set it to false. Let's see if that works! Of COURSE the first gift voucher that was bought was paid for with Paypal. :) Vikki
ActiveTuning
I had the SAME problem. It took a few minutes when cURL was on, but as soon as I turned it off and made an order, the transaction showed up instantly in the PayPal IPN section of my admin. celtic
what is cURL?
celtic
I changed the text to show the customer "Paypal" instead of "Paypal IPN" on the checking out pages. And deactivated the old paypal module. However now whenever I reach the page where they need to click "Confirm Order", it simply refreshes back to the same page, instead of proceeding on to the paypal page. What did I do wrong? Prior to the name change, it worked fine. But isn't it just a text change?
Guest
What did I do wrong? Prior to the name change, it worked fine. But isn't it just a text change? Hi Celtic From where do you changed the text? Best regards
