Authorize.net does not appear after installation

I installed the authorize.net module in Admin. It was there originally and then we try to get it to work. At some point in time we re-downloaded all the files and added it again through Admin but it will not appear during checkout. Is it possible there is some data file entry that is corrupt. Where should I look to solve this problem - any ideas?
