gartex
Hi. I switched hosts & transfered my site. Now I get this error message when I try to login to osCom. My files are in my cPannel but I don't know how to point osCom to my new host. Please help. Thanks a bunch! ihatedeskjets
Hi, sounds like you've changed host but not updated your includes/comfigure.php & admin/includes/configure.php to find your new database, use cpanel to create a new database, then import your old database (I hope you made a backup) assign a new user to the database with a new password, then update the configure.php files for the new settings
mme
In OsCommerce/admin/includes/configure.php and OsCommerce/includes/configure.php edit the settings to the new host

usernamenone
When switching to a new host it is best to backup your database and download a copy of your catalog to your computer. put the osc installer in your catalog upload your copy of osc and run the installer: then log into admin and run the backup. By doing this all your setting for your new hosting site is detected by the installer and you have restored your database.
