GemRock Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 For those whos having problem with paypal IPN recently, ie, its been working prior to sometime last week, and been trying to figure out for a solution without any luck, I would like to say that dont bang your head against the wall as yet. Paypal has had a serious problem with its Paypal IPN since it 'upgraded' the IPN recently. The problem causes some ecommerce site's ordering system across the world to stop working properly. Here is PayPal spokeswoman Amanda Pires said on Saturday: a percentage of merchants (at) a percentage of the time don't receive an IPN. Company developers are scrambling to fix the problem. We are looking at this as a high priority fix. We've been working around the clock. We're hoping to have a fix as soon as possible. From what Ive seen, up to late Sunday evening (UK time), the problem remains unsolved. Another serious security problem, which may or may not relate to the above mentioned problem, was a bug that would allow XSS attacks, which was discovered Last Friday but it was said to have been fixed several hours after it was discivered.
