Esquire Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 This is what I noticed: An order is maid and my customer will get the Email notification about it. However, I get nothing?!?! How do I set up the osCommerce to send me an email stating the order so I know what to ship where and how much to charge?!?!? This is weird one because the Email address is setup in osCommerce. Thank you
bpopelar Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 Define the parameter "Send Extra Order Emails to" in admin -> configuration -> my store When ever an order email is sent to a customer, a copy of the email is sent to the list of email addresses defined. Ben
Esquire Posted May 19, 2008 Author Posted May 19, 2008 That I know and I managed to get exact copy of the Email sent to the customer but... What I thought is that once the order is placed I will get the notification with article ordered, who ordered and address to where to ship the item(s). I did not think that I will have to log on every time someone places an order. And by the way... why the Email is being sent twice?!?!? Two emails are received by customer and two by me?!?!? For one order. How do I fix that? Thanks people.
bpopelar Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 To the best of my knowledge, you have to log in to the web site to get the details associated with an order placed by a customer. You could try to search the contributions to see if anyone has created the capability your are looking for. What is your email transport method defined as? Sendmail or SMTP? Some sites experience duplicate emails when the transport method is defined as SMTP. When the transport method is switched to sendmail, the duplicate emails disappear. I have never experienced the duplicate email problem using SMTP myself, but on some hosting services it does happen. Ben
