Getting the session to timeout

My client is using Barclaycard Merchant Services. It's an annoying load of rubbish but they were insistent they wanted to use it.

 

Anyway, once the site moves over to the Barclays pages to begin processing the card details the only page is goes to within OSC is checkout_success.php when it's completely finished.

 

The problem is, when the user logs back into the shopping cart, any previous order is still showing on the cart. Rather than try and work this out properly, i've come up with the brilliant idea of just having a session timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity as they sell the kind of products where you would make one order then not go back for a couple of months.

 

Do you know how to go about this and, indeed, if it's feasible?
