mysql_fetch_array?

Hello, all.

 

I am installing this for the first time, and I have the software up and running, but I am getting the following error message on every page:

 

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 39

 

Any help would be appreciated.

I have no idea where to begin. :(

I am having another problem when I try to view any files in the /catalog directory. I recieve the error message "Unable to connect to database server!". When I view files in the /admin directory, it appears to be able to connect to the database, except I am gettin the error message shown in the previous post. I apologize for asking questions about stuff that should probably be simple...... this is all new to me. :D

Ok, I figured out why the /catalog files couldn't connect to the database server and I fixed that by filling out the application_top.php with the correct information... :oops:

 

Now I'm getting

 

Warning: mysql_fetch_array(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 39

 

and

 

 

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 46

 

I'm beginning to wonder if I'm doing something horribly wrong or if I need to reinstall php or mysql...
