Just to make sure, /userfiles/ is a fictional name right? Or do we have to create a directory called just that?

Secondly, if FCK 'places' media files somewhere when adding content, this would obviously explain why we're not seeing anything either as these are existing items.

TY.

No you do need to create 'userfiles' directory in your catalog root, however its not needed for images for the reason I stated before.

Images are uploaded to the images directory from your pc when you select 'upload' if you select 'browse server' you should find you are looking at your images directory in your root, is that the case with you?

No i do, or no i do not? ;)

Not sure where my images are uploaded, i created a new dir too but i do not see where it added that, lol.

When i select the browse option, i only see "/" on top with my just uploaded 2 pictures, not ALL pics in the images dir, so i am sure it is not the right directory.

So far so good. A few issues but sorted out after reading through this thread. Thank you for creating it and being so patient with us all.

Can I use this contribution to edit those NASTY looking Order Confirmation emails sent to customers?

I don't want to go over the top with HTML but would like to improve the layout/font and add some of my own content.

FCKEDITOR is adding:

<html dir="ltr">

<head>

<title></title>

</head>

<body>

<p> </p>

</body>

</html>

To the database and then creating errors on web pages.

How do I remove the:

<html dir="ltr">

<head>

<title></title>

</head>

<body>

<p> </p>

</body>

</html>

You must have done something odd, I`ve never seen this, If you look at the source in the editor, then code in the final page they are one & the same.

Write some code ona blank product in source mode & check you will see.

Check you have the latest version of fck.

Perhaps your pasting from something else & that is adding the extra stuff?

Good day,

I am having problems with this great contribution.

When I copy and paste an table it 'sometimes' messes up the product_info page. This would mean that the whole body (text) shifts to the right and gets transparant on top of my infoboxes.

Also on the bottom the table eats up my 'review button' and 'buy now button'.

I have an example of a page that only eats up the buttons here: http://www.hetonderdelenmannetje.nl/615108...287-p-1226.html

The one that shifts the middle of the page to the right, is too bad, so I can't leave them on the website.

If anyone knows how the fix my problem, I will be so glad.

Thank you in advance.

Richard

What are you pasting from??

Check the product description in source mode & make sure the html is intact.

Addditionally note that just switching between source & edit modes can will fix most errors.

For me, FCK is working great!

The only problem is that, when I send html newsletters, he leaves lots of white space in the beginning and in the middle of the tables.

Can anyone help me understand why this is happening?

Thanks! :)

Hi there,

the FCK editor is doing a great job, also with the Newsletter HTML editor. An issue however: code and preview look more or less great in the admin panel (things that don't look great I will resolve, saw some posts here) but when sending the letter the received e-mail litterally displays the html code text, not the expected front end look.

Yes, I've set "send mime html" to True

anybody any idea what I'm missing??

Which version of FCK have you downloaded, there was a bug in one version that gave this, if you use the latest version it should be fine.

I have no knowledge of define mainpage, you need to ask in another thread about that.

Have had the editor up and running for a while and loved it. Today I wanted to add the HTML newsletter addon. I managed to 'mess up' uploading the sql so I dropped the table to do it properly and this PRIZE NUTTER *doh* dropped the newsletter table instead of customers_temp *sobs*

Any kind person able to give me the correct sql for newsletter to put back? I can't even begin to imagine how I would do this alone :blush: :blush:

I've installed Admin HTML - great solutions in there by the way! - but still get the same result: preview looks allright, actual e-mail only displays the code.

I'm a html newsletter newbie, can it be that the code is somewhat wrong?

Hi there

Setting my missing/deleted :blush: newsletter DB tables aside I went ahead and added your Admin HMTL emails contribution. After much heart ache (long story, yesterdays drama, broke my general.php) I believe I have all the correct edits in place now. (checked a trillion times)

This firstly relies on you setting the "Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails" to "True" in Configuration E-Mail Options.

Done and def set to TRUE

Yet my admin/send email window shows no fck editor and is HUGE (2 screens wide by 3 long) despite having set the size as per the install instructions.

Also, FCK editor has been in place and worked beautfully as I said before for months. I noticed that a new version 2.6 had been added so I went ahead and updated the files with the new versions. My config.php is set with exactly the same paths as it was before but I have no editor for product categories that I had before? I checked the entire contrib and everything is as was before the new 2.6 editor was added.

To add to all of this (just while I am here) I installed all the addons before the upgrade and the Define Mainpage always has worked for me but Email order text will not save my edits. It reverts right back to its German language original format and this is what is sent out to my 'pretend' customers right now. (Not open yet and can't like this LOL)

The newsletter addon I screwed up as I said earlier and I still have no clue how to reinstate the db tables, if I can get my cat editor back and fix the order emails one I can live with the newsletter problem until I research a solution with more time.

Any/one pointer to what I need to do here would be most gratefully received.

Thanks in advance x
