Output categories with their ID

I want to show some categories by searching for their name (so categories without a parrent) and output the name, id + all the sub categories with their ids.

Like this:

 

Cars (1)

--Old cars (4)

--New cars (7)

----1995 or later (8)

----2000 or later (9)

----2005 or later (10)

Motors (22)

--Harley (26)

--Others (31)

...

 

But I have no idea how to do this.
