Nameless Product Categories

I am currently running the most current version of osCommerce. Whenever I try to create a new product category, one is created, but the name entry comes up blank. How can I remedy this?

Could you check if file uploads is enabled in your php.ini file?

 

You can see the value in the Administration Tool -> Tools -> Server Info page.

Under "PHP Core" the local and master values for "file_uploads" are listed as "no value". Where and how might I make the changes necessary in order to enable uploads (if that is what I need to do to fix the problem)? I apologize for my lack of knowledge...I am very new to this whole arena.
