Free shipping as promotion

There is a way in RC1 to do free shipping on orders above certain price. What I need is a contribution that would only allow this to happen if the customers enter a code from a magazine or a newsletter.

In other words: free shipping, but only with a promotional code. This contribution would mean the sugar on top of my shop making it perfect.

And please don’t tell me to search. I’ve been searching the Internet and contributions all day, installing, testing and once even failing with one contribution that STINKS. It took me almost 3 hours to reverse the damage.

If you use this:

Then you can set a coupon code for free delivery on all orders for a set period, free delivery for the first 200 customers to use the code etc.

 

(I think its this one, just search for discount coupons in addons and you will find it)

it doesn't exactly specify that you can exclude shipping...ya know for sure that it does? does it involve rigging or is it an immediate option?

 

It would be fairly trivial to hide the "percent shipping" module unless a promo code is inserted.
