Okay, without boring you with a bunch of details... the short story is I was writing my own cart program in php. I was having time constraints and discovered that this program was offered by my host. My problem is this... I can not find total-newb instructions! So it's not that I necessarily have to install it, because my host took care of that for me... but I can't figure out how to get to the admin tool to start setting the store up! I can get to the www.mydomain.com/shop (I named my database "shop") page that shows the default setup page and has no errors displayed... but now what?

I know this is a completely stupid problem to y'all, but I just need to be pointed in the right direction for total newbie directions. I've attached it to my database (and hope I'll be able to use my existing database (even if I have to export and import it) and web pages which are php and contain dynamic data from the mysql db)... now what? How do I configure it? I'm willing to read the answers for myself, if I could just find them!

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Please laugh quietly. :)

Hi,

Your admin section is available at www.domain.com/shop/admin/

If you are prompted for a username and password and your hosting provider did NOT provide you with the admin login details, then you can use the following script to reset the admin password: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5857

If it doesnt prompt you for a username and password to the admin section, you will need to set this up in /shop/admin/ directory...details are here: http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/5017

Good luck!
