Order not saved

Well everything seems to be working properly, we test the cart, place an order and go through the entire process. We use authorize.net, press confirm order, and it reverts back to the login page. Upon checking in the admin area, no order was created. The credit card is charged! No email is sent to administrator to show an order was made, authorize.net does send an invoice detailing the charge only.

 

I am completely at a loss.

Actually as look further into this, if I try to adjust the shipping module or the payment module in the admin are, any changes I make will not take, I apply and it reverts right back to the way it was before the changes.
