Guest Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 The osCommerse progaram was installed successfully but have the error below. I am unable to navigate to the suggested address's below to rename files as suggested as they are not valid addresses. Does anyone have any ideas? The webserver is not able to save the installation parameters to its configuration files. The following files need to have their file permissions set to world-writeable (chmod 777): /var/virtual/web/w1092/html/22Ecomerce/catalog/includes/configure.php /var/virtual/web/w1092/html/22Ecomerce/catalog/admin/includes/configure.php

Being the ignoramus that I am I have looked at my control panel provided by server hosts and am unable to navigate my way to the files there either, do you suggest I take it up with the people that host my sever or are you able to help guide me to these files?

Guest Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 OK I've found the files now I just need somone to tell me how to change the permissions, anyone? click on the file name, you will then see a menu appear on the right click on change permissions. a small box will appear, click all boxes until it says 777 then click ok. do this for both files. Once you have osc installed, go back and change these back to 755.
