PJ2006 Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 I need to ship by county - I have 3 different zones - these have different postal charges. All Counties fit into one of these zones. I've tried various contributions, the latest being State based regions - http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/818 but can't find one that works for the UK. I have tried 3 external companies to get my shipping working for a UK store at a cost to date in excess of £2000 and still I can't go live as I can't ship. Somebody must have a UK shop with shipping that can help me. Broke, desperate please someone help! Quote

Well I recently "doctored" a courier module for a customer and set it up to recognise zones as used by fedex for which there are 5 UK zones. I suppose you could just find a courier module and refactor the postcodes into your 3 required zones. I think the problem is that for some reason I cannot get the county value to store in the DB - that field is always blank, although the correct address is recalled - does anyone know how to fix this, I can't be the only person to hit this problem, I've gone through every thread and uninstalled, reinstalled the UK postal address but nothing fixes it. I am truly desperate, if I can't sort this out I will have to abandon oscommerce and I really don't want to do that. Quote
