cuteweethings Posted May 12, 2008 Share Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Guys, I am downloading my site at the moment and I'm about to upload it to the html directory I have been advised to configure the path to.. 3. Update the paths in both configuration files 3.1 /html/includes/configure.php 3.2 /html/admin/includes/configure.php Finally make sure your database connection string is correct and everything should work. OK so this is advice from my hosting company - but I don't know what it means as I am but a mere housewife trying to earn a crust. So if someone can help me in layman's terms I would be delighted - i am using Fetch as my FTP as I'm on a mac and I'm lost with my SSl - I bought it from the same company, they say it will all be fine but I can't see a padlock, believe me I have tried all the avenues I can think of (yes i could get a web designer to help me but I'm broke!) this is my last chance before I just spontainously combust :blink: Thank you for reading and I do hope someone can help...plead plead Cheers Jacqueline Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

cuteweethings Posted May 12, 2008 Author Share Posted May 12, 2008 When I'm working on the site I'm online so i figure that it's server at host. when i change something it's changed on the site straight away, I don't have to FTP it. Also - at the moment I have downloaded it so It's on the PC as well, I can upload it to my html as it's been in a seperate folder while I was working on it. hope that helps - sorry to be a pain!
