lomaximus Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 hi guys I'm having a little problem with my website. I have several products (usually around 20) in my categories and at the moment when i click on a category it just shows them 2 at a time and over 10plus pages. Another osc website I have done before used to have them as a list going down the page which would fit them all on one page! Any one know how i can do this? cheers

lomaximus Posted May 12, 2008 Author Posted May 12, 2008 Hi Yes just have thanks but still not how i wanted it. They are not going in numerical order now! its obviously just going off the first 2 figures in each colomn and ordering them numerically from there. In product name i have for example "10000 a3 flyers" it is currently ordering as 1000, 10000, 100000, 15000, 20000, 250, 25000. Is there a way of getting it to read the whole number? Or just can I just manually order them? Thanks
dmnalven Posted May 13, 2008 Posted May 13, 2008 This is known as ASCII sort order. It doesn't matter how big that number is that begins with a '1', it will always sort before any number that begins with a '2'. I don't know of any easy way to change it to a natural sort order. The sorts are done with both php and sql. Have you looked through the contributions? Have you looked into using the product attributes for ordering quantities of a product so that you have a3 flyers, b2 posters, etc instead of products named by the order quantity?
