ComicWisdom Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I have set "enable download" to true in Admin Configuration, but I can't seem to figure out how to mark a product as a downloadable product to make it process as one. Could someone give me an idea on this please? Thank you Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! FIMBLE Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 You need to add it in your product attributes. Rgds Nic Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions

ComicWisdom Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 Go to product attributes and create a new attribute "download" you will need to enter the name of the zip or rar in the field provided. Be sure the archive is in your downloads folder I have done all this and it appears that the item is classified as a download. However, after the order is completed it provides no way for the customer to receive the download. No link is generated either in the confirmation email or anywhere else that I can find. Is there still something that I am missing? Thank you Just between us, remember there are only 10 kinds of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't!! Is there still something that I am missing? Thank you Hi - a few questions... Are you using the downloads controller contrib? Are you using a payment process that automatically updates the order status once payment is made? What is the order status on the failed download? If the order status hasn't been updated, no download link will appear on checkout_success.php. Re-check the name of the actual zip against the name specified in the product attributes. Also, did you check this page? http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/A...nfiguration/162 In particular, it's important that the /pub directory has its permissions set to 777 because that's the temporary directory from which the zip or whatever is actually downloaded.
