database - new field

Hi all!

 

I've added a new field into shopping_cart.php - it's a textarea for storing a personal message on a t-shirt for example.

 

I can't figure which database table/s i need to modify to include the message field, or even exactly where the instructions for storing the data are!

 

'update_product' in application_top seem to be where it's all happening but i'm really not sure!

 

Please help!

Wouldn't you be better of using Product Attributes - Option Type Feature? That is hard enough to add :)

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back.

 

That sound's perfect! I should have mentioned this earlier but it's actually the first shop I've ever done! - although I've designed front-ends for shops before.

 

I've got a million and one questions but I'll post them separately.
