Is there a way to automatically process orders for instant downloads?

I tested the order process and the admin was required to process the order before I could get the download link.

I have searched through the admin panel and have not been able to figure out a way to have these instant downloads available without having to go in and process the order.

All products will be digital downloads, so I would like the customer to be able to do it all in one sitting without having to wait for me to login and process orders.

It would be great if the actual download link could actually be placed in their confirmation email

Thanks!

Hello

The downloads you need to enable, do it from your Admin / configuration

then you need to go to product attributes and add it as a download.

All that has been done. The download does work. However I want my customers to be able to download the product immediately. The way it is now I would have to login and proccess the order. Otherwise it shows as "Pending" to the customer.

yes there is, you can just set the used payment modules update status for completed payments to the status where downloads are made available.

Thank you VERY much! Of course it worked like a charm. It may have been a simple solution, but it was a headache for me trying to figure it out.

1. Add your product with the price, title, description, etc as usual. Be sure to enter 0 for the product weight

2 Go to products attributes (this is how I did it) add a Product option named Instant and an Option Value named Download

3 Look for your product listing below and click the edit button on the right. Set the option name and value to Instant and Download. Place the file name (should be .zip or .rar) in the box "Filename". You may also set the expiration time and limit the number of downloads for the product per order.

4 Be sure that your archive/digital product is in the downloads folder.

5. Click Modules in the left column and go to Payment. This example is for Standard PayPal payments - Click on edit and scroll down just a bit to where you see "Set Preparing Order Status" and change that to delivered. Do the same thing with "Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status"

Now, you should be ready to go. Set your price to 5 or 10 cents and do a test order, or get someone else to test the system. Everything should work smoothly. Your customer will make payment and then go directly to a page where they will download the product.

Thanks For The infomation.... Been looking for week by now.

But problem we get hack easily....

I noticed that I made a mistake in step 5 above

Set Preparing Order Status should be set to "Preparing [PayPal Standard]" and NOT "delivered" otherwise the person will still be able to download the product even if they do not complete the payment.
