My host updated fantastico and my cart somehow got screwed up. Within fantastico I was then ask to upgrade so I chose yes. Afterwards my password was changed. htpasswrds shows my password as admin:epzPliVyc98mk but I dont know how to decrypt it. I tried replacing it with the original password file but it still tells me invalid username.

Could someone please tell me how to fix the issue or decrypt the password.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, I tried this, but it didn't work for me. I may have done something wrong. I had changed the password on the htpasswrds file and uploaded it thru ftp. Then I read your posting, tried it, re-uploaded page but still won't let me into my admin area.

There are some other ways in which an OS can protect a folder.

So if You are still not able to amke out ask Your hosting company to assist.

As in htaccess file on times we place the htpasswd file path. That should be right.
