jgarniss Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Hi everyone, I have implemented a number of contributions from the community on my test server, and have followed the intallation instructions. These instructions tell me to simply update the php code/database after backing everything up. I have some people now telling me that any modifications should go into the "local" directory. They tell me that OSC will read the local directory first then if there is nothing there it will use the stock directory entry. Is this true? Their reasoning is that if there are any upgrades to the standard OSC it will be easier to use the "local" directory to store the changes and keep them on an upgrade. Does this make sense? Am I missing something?
