SMF Integration

I have a two part question:

 

(Oh, BTW, hi all, I'm new!)

 

I'm in the process of launching my site, and I would like to know if it is at all possible to integrate or link user databases with my SMF (Simple Machines Forum, www.simplemachines.org). Idealy, I would like only one login for the two (I think this is called a login bridge) I realize a complete merger of the two database is most likely impossible.

 

Now, more importantly, when I don't have a particular product (or no products listed for a category), I would like to have a message come up that asks the customer to post their request on my message board, with a link to the forum.

 

Oh, one more thing. Is it possible to have a product be linked to mulitple categories? For example, I'll have a category, which is a title of a DVD. Now this title, could be classified under a genre, and quite often, titles will have multiple genres. So for example, my title is a Drama, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. Within each of these top level categories, I'll find my title category listing, without having to duplicate the entry in each category.
