evrmac
I am trying to set up a new language, Arabic. I followed up the rules in Admin and set it as default. The problem is the words are shown in ???? ???? ??? which seems that the system can not under stand. I add Arabic in Products (even the default language is English), and the display is perfect. It is again not readable in Reviews, manufactures, categories,... Any Help
moyashi
hmmm ... osC is pretty good with languages. I'm using Japanese and it works without problems. 2 things to look at: 1- is browser set to view arabic (hehe I do this alot  I forget to set it to Japanese) 2- inside of the scripts you might have to change the character code settings. I'm still new to osC and have no idea where to look yet. hopefully this will get you going in the right direction NewsDesk(934) / FAQDesk(1106) / OrderCheck(1168) :::

evrmac
I have tested Arabic in product description and works fine. It is not working with Categories, Manufactures, Reviews, translations. For example, I copied English files and named Arabic. I have changed the name of "Oscommerce"to Arabic. It gace ???? ???? at the top of the browser. I have a complete site in Arabic working with PHPNUKE and on the same machine
moyashi
wow rare to see another japanese in here :) hi moyashi hi iijan, Sorry I'm not actually Japanese. I've just lived in Japan for the last 10 years and "yoshida" is a joke name I use at times. "moyashi" was given by my wife one night when she was yelling at me  You in Japan or in the States or something?
