bobudell Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I am unable to reset the permissions on /catalog/includes/configure.php to 444 and 644 gives me the error message: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. I am using FileZilla and am able to change the attributes to all other files but this one.
germ Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 If 644 still gives the error, try 444. If that doesn't work try 400 If none of these work. STOP using FTP. Login and use the Host Conrtol Panel (NOT OSC!) to change permissions. Sometimes FTP fails at this task. Be aware that 444 or 400 makes it "read only" even to you and you'll need to change it back to 644 before attempting any edits. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
