How to change colors in the corners?

there are 4 pics located in catalog/images/infobox/

they are

corner_left.gif

corner_right.gif

corner_right_left.gif

arrow_right.gif

you can download them and either make them a transparant .gif or color them how you want, then upload them back to the same location.

Hi! I'm brand new to the OSCommerce world (just started customizing it yesterday), and I too noticed the boxes/corners don't change with the modification to the TD.infoBoxHeading in the style sheet. I was savvy enough to see that these corners were GIF's, so I downloaded them, changed the color in PhotoShop, backed up the originals, and renamed my new colored GIFs as the original (corner_right_left.gif, etc.) to override the original upon FTP. However, problem...even with my changing the color and reuploading to the same location (verbatim of the instructions above), it did not change. The corners are still the original/default GIF's - and the originals clash with my color theme. Can anyone offer any more suggestions on how I can get these corners to match my color concept (web-safe #996633)? Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated. :)

P.S. all my OSCom files are not in the root of my site, but rather, I created it's own directory called OSCom. So, I don't have a /catalog/ directory. Could this be the issue? Don't think it should matter, but I just don't know for certain. Thanks again! :)

I'm new to this process also, but what I did was delete the gifs all together and the color I wanted filled in the whole area. Don't think the gifs are needed here at all....

hi,

having trouble to change colors in the headings corners - could not find anywhere how to do it in the stylesheet.ccs

Could anyone suggest where to change it??

p.s. now it looks like side_colors.jpg

There is a contribution that removes the images and replaces them with css code. Look in the infobox section of the contributions for css since I don't recall the name.
