Copying-Adding a category through SQL (or other outside source)

Here's what i am thinking. I want to copy just ONE category from a database and ADD this category to another (not empty) database!!! Is this possible?

 

also thought of using Easy Populate. Download the two databases and mix them and upload them again but I dont see an option of downloading the products on Easy Pop!

offcourse you may use this

first you take a backup of your both database b'coz if any error occurs then u will restore previous DB. then use " insert " option to add in anothere DB.

You don't want to use the first option. There is more than one table associated with categories and if they both have duplicate ID's you'll have problems. Easy Populate is the way to go and all Easy Populate versions have always had a download option. If you can't find that you should ask in the Easy Populate support thread.
