Linking to a section of a page without using the # sign

Hi Guys,

I'm using OScommerce and within one of the product pages I am trying to link to another section of the page. Normally I would use the old #anchor trick, but this doesn't work because when I do this it points to something like the following:

http://mysite.com/catalog/#anchor

rather than

http://mysite.com/catalog/product_in...s_id=30#anchor

Thus, the link refreshes the wrong URL and goes to a different page.

Does anyone know how to link to a section of the page without using the #sign or a way to use the #sign and get it to use the correct URL?
