I was wondering how I can set lower JPG compression on the product images, because I think the quality is too poor. Any ideas guys?

well, the bad quality in images has nothing to do with oscomerce, it depends on the quality of the image file itself (i mean oscommerce doesnt change the compression).

BUT if you find the bad quality only in the thumbnails, perhaps is because by default on oscommerce, the browser just load the original image but resize it on-the-fly to the thumbnail size, and this usually looks bad. If this is what you mean, I think there are contributions for this, look at http://addons.oscommerce.com/category/Images. I think Automatic Thumbnail or Club osCommerce Easy Thumbnail should do it, although i havnt used them myself
