The e-commerce.

Moving to new server

Recommended Posts

I have setup and tested a OSCommerce shop for a friend. Finally we are good to go.

I will transfer all files via FTP to the new server.

Just a few questions:

What files do I have to change so it works on the new server?

Can I and how do I backup my SQL database and transfer this to new server also?

Anything else I should do to make this work?

Thanks for any help

Michael

hi,

once uploaded you will need to change the admin/includes/configure.php and catalog /includes/configure.php

if you create the database in MySQL you can use phpmyadmin then to upload the database to your server.
