jermartin77 Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 Hello, I have an install of OS Commerce where we are shipping multiple packages usually about 10-50 lbs each. and by default the UPS shipping rates will not allow you to ship over 150 lbs. That means if a customer orders 5 packages they are not allowed to place an order in some cases. These packages will definitely go out separately, So it would be preferable if it was only limiting it to individual packages over 150 lbs. I have done some research looking around in the knowledge base and the forums. The only solution I can find is the UPS XML Rates and Services v1.0 module which is self described as very beta and requires a access key and account from UPS. Please let me know if I am missing something. thank you very much. I am running OS Commerce Version: osCommerce 2.2-MS2 Quote

That means if a customer orders 5 packages they are not allowed to place an order in some cases. These packages will definitely go out separately That is total nonsense. If you set a maximum weight for shipping in the admin, that means the max weight of a single box. The standard osC will break up the shipment in multiple packages using the max weight. If you set your max weight over 150 lbs, yes then you will have a problem with the UPS rates. UPSXML is no longer in beta by the way, it was in the first release. And if you use UPS for shipping there is no reason why you shouldn't get the necessary keys to use UPSXML (but why should you if you are OK with the present one you use). Quote
jermartin77 Posted April 30, 2008 Author Posted April 30, 2008 Yes, under configuration the maximum weight was set to 1000 lbs. Quote
