Where is Category/Includes ?

I can not make changes as I do not have category/includes. You mentioned the following in a previous reply but I do not understand this.

" try the includes directory if your store is in the root. "

When I click on category from my administration page it takes me to my catalog which in turns is my categories/products?

I am very new to this and do not know where to find the root ??? I know that once I locate where to go I will be able to breeze through what I need to change as your information is very cearly spelt out and easy to understand. It's just getting there.

Thank you in advance.

think catalog / includes is what you need

Root is the top level, the folder you go into to get to your files in the first place

you will see other folders there like cgi

Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post

The instructions you were given refer to your store filesystem structure. More often than not, this is accessed from a 'control panel' that is part of your account at your hosting service.

There is much that can be done from within the admin interface of osCommerce, however, it is sometimes necessary to directly edit files in your websites filesystem beyond the ability of osC's point-and-click interface. The 'root' directory of your hosted account is (usually) where you start when you log in to your hosting account. The root directory of your store may be a subdirectory of this. Look around your control panel for a way to access your files. Contact your hosting service if you continue to have difficulty navigating your control panel.
