Not displaying "Powered by osCommerce" and very slow to load.

In fact I got bored waiting for the initial screen to load and then gave up after trying to load the recherche page.

What is a finding? ("and all of the findings")

I believe the server is experiencing some tech difficulties. No one yet has said it was slow in anyway. If an when the server picks up the "powered by OS commerce" is on the actual store side of the site.

For people who purchase jewelry or just about any woman, know that a findings are the small pieces that attach all of the stones and what connects the necklace together.

Its up now.

Its a classy looking site, I like the layout - kind of minimalist (black/white), very elegant, not overly customized, appropriate for the kind of jewelry you are selling.

The store itself loads slowly and may do so because of the images. Although you have sized the viewed portion of the images down, each one displayed is still large in bytes. The 4 category images are each about 50K in size each; clicking on each category produces another very slow page. You could do with some kind of thumbnailer. Then again, the popup images that occur when you hover over the smaller images are good - if I"m shopping for jewerly I really do want to see a big detailed image.

The custom jewelry section - very, very nice. I would like to see some images of the hanging options, and the type of knotted chain - maybe a popup info link on those options.

Checkout took a long time to render the login screen - seemed like the delay was SSL related.

Any reason why you need the date of birth on the account creation page? I did not go ahead and make an account; I'll have to come back and browse a little more later - your work is really gorgeous.

Why the splash page?

I for one see no point in a page that has text and images that could be added to the index page of your store.

Your cart is now in a /store/ folder placing it a directory that much further from the search engines. Are your splash and other pages up top that important that they get top billing in the search engines?

You have a shipping and returns page and contact us page in your root directory, but then you have the same pages in the store directory. And your Shipping and returns is the same text. Not good. Thats duplicate content.

Why does your breadcrumb look like this -----> Top » » recherché collection <------- Whats with the blank space in your navigation?

Again, you link back to the top directory, showing total abandonment for your store.

When I go to look at a product listing, I click the image to enter and get an annoying pop up. It was not at all expected and quite pointless as Im on my way to see more about the product.

The site is a basic recolor, but thats no big deal. However there is a lot to be done in terms of seo. You have no type of meta tags or descriptions, your title tag echos your domain name on every page. That means nothing. But you did place a unique name on your splash page (giving it top billing again)There are several meta tag/header tag mods available. Your urls are stock, a SEF contribution of some type would do you well.

You do have ssl so thats good.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am quite the newbie at this and every bit of constructive feedback will only make my site that much better.

I know that splash pages are out but I needed a way to let the customer know that our jewelry is unique and not mass produced in china. I will begin to work on the other this week.

Again thanks for the feed back, I know my site needs alot of work.
