Guest Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Please help! When I signed on to my admin function today I received this error: Fatal error: Cannot re-assign $this in /home/celljen3/public_html/admin/includes/classes/upload.php on line 31 I am also getting this error on my catalog portion: Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/celljen3/public_html/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. My hosting service (midphase) says that this is happening because the server has been upgraded to PHP 5 and that my scripts need to work with PHP 5.0 and PHP 6.0. Is there a fix for this? Please tell me I don't have to reinstall the whole thing, as it's customized (including the database) and this will be a disaster. I losing revenue, please help! :'(

Jan Zonjee Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Is there a fix for this? The least you should do is download the latest version (RC2a) and update to the August 17 2006 version (folder extras, file update-20060817.txt). The warning about your configure.php being writable has nothing to do with a server update. See the Knowledge base for more info.

I total reinstall is a real problem.
Guest Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Does anybody actually know what this error is? What it's actually telling me? I'm not convinced this is a PHP 5.0 problem, as the retail side is functioning properly. The hosting side did, however, change permissions on some files. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I process any orders with querying the raw database. And I can't update anything on the admin side. This leaves me pretty much dead. Please help.
Guest Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I found the fix for this. It's in this thread. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?sho...p;hl=upload.php. I must have missed it the first time in my panic. Thanks for the other suggestions.
