Hi all,

 

Im going out of my mind here, i have added a custom field to the product (called ean) this is saved in the products table of the database. I would like to include the EAN on the invoice next to model number,

 

can someone please explain the best way of doing this. I think i have got to add the sql command to the array somewhere but im lost after that?

I dont help with templates (thats what the seller is for)

 

th search function will often help, when it dont try this in google.

you have to add the field to the sql query in catalog/admin/includes/classes/order.php

 

once you add the field to the sql query.. you have to store the retrieved value into $this->info .. you can see a bunch of the values which are saved to the info variable. Just add 'ean' => $order_query['products_ean'] or however its supposed to be along side the others that are listed...

 

once thats done.. open catalog/admin/invoice.php scroll to wherever you want to place the ean and put the command <?php echo $order->info['ean']; ?>

 

that should be it..

that should be it..

 

Sorry.. its a product value it shouldnt be $order->info but $order->products[$i]['ean'] or something to that effect.. its still the same files.. but in order.php you need to scroll further down until you see where the products are being retrieved and stored into the $this->products variable. You can store the EAN there.. and retrieve it in the same manner in your invoice.php file..

I have tried that but i still cant get it to work. I want the EAN to be displayed next to the model number in the invoice, however everytime it just remains blank. the echo $order command dont seem to work, And when you compare that command to say that of the model number in the invoice source veiw its complety different

Im not to sure how to add the ean to the invoice next to model number, or if i got the right command in orders.php, if someone can help me i would be very happy!

Thinking about it, it dont need to go on the invoice page, for as long as admin can see the EAN thats all that required. I still cant work this one, surley someone must of had this problem before?
