Your template provider should be supplying help to you, they did get your money. What do you think is the difference between myname and username? They could have said yourname, but you should know what is is without too much thought.

paparaaaapa Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 I see what you mean. You can try doing via your webhosts control panel filemanager. unfortunately i don't see anyway i can let the permissions goes too, My web hosting use Cpanel, and inside the folder setting, it doesn't have any setting that i can amend or even right click to choose...Is there anything wrong with the php files? At far as i know i don't think they have any error. Because all the file i use Cuteftp and right click on it, i don't the permissions setting as the above screen i shown...Please show me how to do it..
dmnalven Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 In cPanel, select the file you wish to edit using the box to the left of the filename, then go to the bottom of the directory listing and click on 'Edit Permissions'. For ALL problems, please review this link first -> osCommerce Knowledge Base
paparaaaapa Posted April 27, 2008 Author Posted April 27, 2008 In cPanel, select the file you wish to edit using the box to the left of the filename, then go to the bottom of the directory listing and click on 'Edit Permissions'. I did follow what you suggest above, i tick the box and browse to the botttom but i don't see anything i can do with "Edit Permissions"... Is this because of i am using windows based server? I heard they said Linux Server is more flexible...

I heard they said Linux Server is more flexible... CHMOD doesn't work with windows based server. You should be able to set permissions through your web host cpanel by setting it to read-only. Nonetheless, this might help -> http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3131
