Yeah - what Burt said! I know you have tried though -the purple is a good match - do some more work on the header and boxes and it will integrate in nicer.

 

The first thing that strikes me is that you have multiple same products with the only difference being the garment size. This would be much better handled by using an attributes contribution. It looks like you know about attributes already because you have colour as a selectable field - any reason not to make the size an attribute too?

 

Second thing is your pages will load faster if you incorporate an image thumbnail contribution.

 

Currencies - if you are listing only one, best to leave that currency box off the page. Its easy enough to edit the column_left.php to comment out the currency box, then uncomment it later if you need it.

 

You have a really neat business. I would like to see you reference the "about chelsea bee " and "why merino" pages from your homepage - it adds good interest and credibility to the store.

Thanks for the feedback. I probably actually need to get someone to help me with my site as I dont have any real experience with this type of thing.

I had a graphic design student do the front part of the store for an assignment and I fiddled around with the oscommerce side.

 

The attributes I'm still figuring out. You see I have stock issues which is why I set them up like that. I'm not sure how to go about telling customers that I have stock of one product but not the other.

 

I like the idea of referencing the 'About' page and the 'Why Merino' but I dont actually understand how to even add a page to the oscommerce side.

 

I will read more and more on here and I'm sure I will learn it, it will be a slow run though! lol

 

I now have an issue with my page rank. My site used to show up on page 2 of google.co.nz search results for the keywords 'baby sleeping bag' but now it doesnt show at all.

Perhaps I need a professional upgrade done.....

The next version of osCommerce is likely to have products with attributes, on which stock can be counted. But no-one knows when the next versin of osCommerce will be available :(
