Can't edit shipping module, need to disable first class USPS

Hello,

 

I have had my store running for 6-8 months, and suddenly I cannot edit my shipping module. The shipping module spans the entire width of the screen and clicking on the arrow to see the option for usps does nothing, even when trying to open in a new window.

 

My payment modules function fine, showing the extra options on the right side of the screen as it should.

 

 

I simply want to turn OFF the first class option. Is there another way to to do that?

If you are using the standard USPS shipping module (i.e., you haven't loaded one of the USPS related contributions), you will have to edit the file includes/modules/shipping/usps.php to remove the First Class option from the list of services to query for / display. The individual services are not enabled / disabled via admin controls.

Thank you, that was extremely simple. I deleted that one line and it removed first class for me. I was thinking when I originally configured my usps module that I had a pop out menu on the right where I could input whether I was using the test server, or the real thing, etc. I don't get any kind of pop out menu anymore.

 

Just wondering if that is normal, maybe my memory isn't what I thought it was.

I'm afraid your memory isn't what it use to be...nether is mine.

 

There are configuration parameters on the USPS shipping module (on the right hand side of the screen) to select the test .vs. production server and enter your user ID and password (amongst other things), but you've never had to option to enable/disable individual services.
