When I try to to complete Step One of the installation (Database Server), I get the following error message: Access denied for user 'nicedogs'@'ksh008.ghshosting.com' (using password: YES) Please verify the connection parameters and try again. What am I doing wrong? I have verified and tried again and again. Also, why is it using password: YES? That is not my password. Thanks for someone helping here. :o

Thanks for someone helping here. :o its not saying your password is YES, it's saying: yes, you put in a password but it's not the right password. check your username and password are correct for accessing the database.

MJP Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Is it wanting the username and password for the database or the database server? it wants the username and password for the database. its not the same as your ftp username and password if youre thinking it is. you should also read the Quick Install Guide thread here.

Thanks a lot. I read the thread and found some errors, but I am still getting the following now: Access denied for user 'nicedogs_osc1'@'localhost' to database 'nicedogshop_com_nicedogs_osc1' What is wrong now? I can't figure it out. Thanks! Gary
