I need to upgrade this version of OCS

Can anyone tel me exactly which version this is copyright says 2002

I neeed to start upgrading but I am not exactly sure what the first step is, from then on I think I can manage. There seems to be so many I need to know exactly where this version fits in.

 

Desprate I only have 2 days to get it done EEEEEkkkk!

its the one before the oscommerce MS2.2.

There is a lot of difference between the that and the latest version.

You can use a program like win merge to compare the files, think it will be much quicker to start over again and install a new version.

Do it on a test site or localhost to avoid any site downtime.

Thanks for that, I was afraid that was going to be the case. I have gained some more time however, I have migrated the old site to an older server for a couple of weeks, now I have to decide upgrade or start again!

Is there any milage in even attempting an upgrade or should I just bite the bullet and recreate all 2000 + items on the new install.

 

I was thinking sucssesive upgrades if the first step to MS2.2 is going to be 2 or 3 days in the doing I guess I will try, what after? then does it get any easier?

As I understand it, it can't be done as an upgrade.
