raybeam Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 When I check out from my store and arrive at PayPal it says: "You have entered unsupported characters for this field. Current available language character types are: European, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Thai. Please try again.". I'm able to complete the payment, but this message might be confusing to rookie customers who don't know what to do.. What do we do about the problem? CharlesStaky 1 Quote

raybeam Posted April 29, 2008 Author Posted April 29, 2008 Lifting this thread again.. I'm sure someone encountered this problem before. It's the PayPal Website Payments Standard module I'm using with OsCommerce 2.2 RC2. Quote

HPStuff Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 My solution to this problem was to exlude norwegian characters (æøå) from customers home address. This is just a temporary solution, of course. Quote
raybeam Posted May 5, 2008 Author Posted May 5, 2008 My solution to this problem was to exlude norwegian characters (æøå) from customers home address. This is just a temporary solution, of course. OK, that's probably why I get the error message, since there are some Swedish åäö in the adress of the test customer I created... Did you do it manually? Then this temporary solution wont work with new customers who registers for the first time, or is there some way to automatically exclude these characters? Quote
