PayPal IPN Transaction Activity or Logfile

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had a working Oscommerce installation until yesterday. Since then, all transactions I submit to PayPal return a status of 'Processing' instead of Completed. I have searched through the forums for both Oscommerce and PayPal for assistance. I am not finding any useful information or a way to determine if the problem mine, or with PayPal.

Does Oscommerce record a logfile of protocol transactions occuring between Oscommerce and PayPal? Or a copy of the variables that are being passed back on forth?

I need some way to ensure my installation is processing properly, and that PayPal is responding properly.

Any help would be appreciated

Please? Anyone?

There must be some way to view the IPN transaction progress between Oscommerce and PayPal?

Otherwise, how can I debug the process when problems occur?

I have my debug email address set, but I haven't gotten anything via email. I believe this only works when IPN errors have occured, which is apparently not the case for me. There are no errors, but I am getting an incorrect response back from PayPal I think. The orders all come back with status "Processing", and I cannot determine why this status is returned.

you have at default 3 possible return values processing being one of them, if you need to set another then you can do this in your admin.

Goto to admin / modules / and edit paypal at the bottom you see

Set PayPal Acknowledged Order Status

Set the status of orders made with this payment module to this value

in this box set the value from the choices within.

Procdessing is the default.

If this is not what you mean then give the sandbox at paypal a try.
