oscommerce-2.2rc2a incorrect path bug

Hi all,

I found the bug in oscommerce-2.2rc2a related to incorrect path to oscommerce directory.

My scenatio:

The oscommerce cart istalled at http://my-domain-name.info/oscommerce-folder-name/

In admin was impossible to upload pictures/photos due to incorrect path to "images" folder. As we know that since oscommerce-2.1rc, they start to use varible $DOCUMENT_ROOT instead of full path to oscommerce installation.

Apparently the $DOCUMENT_ROOT is looking at the root of the website (example: /home/my-domain-name/public_html/) instead of root directory of oscommerce installation (example: /home/my-domain-name/public_html/oscommerce-folder-name/). You see the difference?

You need to change the following code in /catalogue/admin/includes/configure.php:

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

to

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/my-domain-name/<i>public_html/</i>oscommerce-folder-name'); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

This way you will correct bug in oscommerce-2.2rc2a.

8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself.

Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues.
