magicBobson Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hi there I've been web developing for years, but I've ever used Microsoft technologies (IIS, ASP, VB.NET). Consequently I have no idea how to install and use PHP, Apache and MySQL. I'd like to build an osCommerce site, but first I need to get the building blocks sorted. There must be loads of people in the same boat as me, but I can't seem to find any similar topics in the forums. Please could somebody write a simple guide on which versions of PHP etc to use, and how to install them? I think a lot of newbies would find it very helpful. Maybe it should be a sticky in the "installation" forum. Many thanks Rob
web-project Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 have no idea how to install and use PHP, Apache and MySQL where to? which os? linux/unix, windows or mac? Please read this line: Do you want to find all the answers to your questions? click here. As for contribution database it's located here! 8 people out of 10 don't bother to read installation manuals. I can recommend: if you can't read the installation manual, don't bother to install any contribution yourself. Before installing contribution or editing/updating/deleting any files, do the full backup, it will save to you & everyone here on the forum time to fix your issues. Any issues with oscommerce, I am here to help you.
