jgarniss Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Hi everyone, I am hoping someone can help me out with this. I have a marketing site that has specific links for each type of product (i.e., a "Buy Now" button for a specific color and size product). When a customer clicks on the buy now button I would like them to have the product added to their shopping cart. No problem IF there are no product attributes (i.e., size, color, etc), I get the link on the buy now button to add the product to the shopping cart. However, if there are product attributes, it won't add the item to the pcart, because I am not sure how to pass the attributes in the link. For example, the link for an item with no attributes looks like this: http://store.mycompany.com/products_new.ph.../products_id/43 This puts it right into the shopping cart. What do I do to get the size and color. for example, passed into the link? Please help! Thanks in advance, Jon
jgarniss Posted April 21, 2008 Author Posted April 21, 2008 Some more info, I have tried doing this: /product_info.php?products_id=56{5}9&action=add_product Where the option ID Value = 5 and the option selection is 9, but it still doesn't work.
msl_007 Posted June 23, 2008 Posted June 23, 2008 ***BUMP*** I would also like an answer to this question. Mark
burt Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 http://www.clubosc.com/clear-cart-add-product.html Ignore the "clear cart" bit.
dsgncr8or Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 and how does one specify the product? Is there a link format? Is there a way to add a product to the cart from another website - like a link-to with www.website.com/add-product.php/?keywords=id there must be a format to add it directly w/ a link... can't find the solution anywhere.
