gandhi Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I'm logged into the admin tool of my shop and i go to edit my index.php file and i'm getting this error Error: I can not write to this file. Please set the right user permissions on: /home/brewreco/public_html/shop//index.php although i am already logged in as admin... any help?
FIMBLE Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 you need to change the permissions to 755 or 777 to enable write permissions. The files are not set thru admin you need to do it from your host control panel or your FTP program Sometimes you're the dog and sometimes the lamp post [/url] My Contributions

FIMBLE Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 You not stupid because you do not know! You need to find the files, in your case catalog>includes>languages>your language>index.php right click on teh file and select CHMOD for a linux server or set permissions for a Windows box. change to 777 , or read write.
