How to Move Oscommerce cart to a new server?

Hi Could any one please tell me the easiest way to upload the files of oscommerce from one host to another?

 

I know about configure.php and other installation steps. I just wonder if there is a way that will let me do this transfer without Downloading the whole site by FTP client to my computer then Uploading it to the new server.

Give your new host your old FTP details and they should be able to transfer the whole site across lock, stock and barrel without you having to do anything.

Create a backup and download to your computer. Extract the zip file and upload from there.

 

While it is uploading your can reset your configure.php files, create your new DB and User, make dinner, upload your DB, etc. There are a couple of places in the admin you will want to look at also, I think just the Sessions and Logging sections.

Thank you, it seems that backupping to my computer then uploading it by ftp is th only way i can do.
