Is the login id for your autorize.net the same as your login.id that you use to login?

No you need to login and get it from authorize.net you should also be able to get a transaction key in the same section.

This confused me also.

 

You have to login to authorize.net

 

click on the 'settings' (on left nav)

 

Then it is in the list and says Login ID and transaction Key and you can create one there. It is quite a hidden little VERY important thing.
