PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP!

Hi all. I am new to this but have serious problem with my website!!! When a customer purchases something they go through the registration of details to open an account, once that is all done, it goes back to my home page??? customers cannot log in to there account. and for some reason when you go to checkout if your a customer who has already registers it asks for your email/password then instead of going through to check out it just goes back to home page and customer is not logged in???????? please can someone help me, i have no idea about html or web design someone set this up for me!

check the sessions or cookies, it seems to me the problem is register sessions/cookies.

Post the first 9 (define etc.

 

That you see at the top of catalog/includes/configure.php

 

Also mention whether your shop is at www.mysite.com or www.mysite.com/shop

 

Also mention whether you have an SSL certificate.

where do i look for these... i havent a clue the person who designed it for me has been uncontactable and its driving me mad! I wouldnt know where to start looking!! what do you mean by post the first 9????
